worn: all the colours and patterns

I don't do many outfit posts anymore, partly because we don't often have time to stand about with a camera to take 6305769372629 pictures just to get three good ones, and partly because I find myself getting irritated afterwards when I look through and write them off when they're too blurry / too grainy / and when my nose looks too big / face looks funny / legs look too skinny. I think there's a massive amount of pressure on bloggers these days to turn up with near-professional pictures, looking like models, and I just don't - I don't really do trends, I have a history of wearing mostly Granny-style knitwear and when it comes to patterns, my motto is 'more is more'. I think today was the day that I just decided I didn't care anymore, and that actually, these teal tights deserved an audience. So here they are!

Saturday was dedicated to pottering; coffee, vintage shops, racing along the seafront and clambering on the battlements - just enjoying the Autumn sunshine and being out and about. It was the first time my new HEMA bag has been road tested as well; they kindly sent me a voucher for their online shop a while back (more on that later in the week), and this was one of the things I picked - it was a toss-up between this and one with amazing triangles, but the slogan on this one gave it the edge - I felt like it appealed to my crafty heart! I spent a pretty delicious evening with the new Mollie Makes, a bit of crochet and some Echinacea tea (I have the WORST cold at the moment), so all-in-all, a pretty good day!

I made a little video of the best bits; there are quite a lot of shaky segments, and the music is bog-standard plinky-plonk iMovie music (and Ali actually puts his thumb over the screen at one point...), but it's full of sunshine and made with love, and after all, isn't that what counts? (It looks better if you turn it up to HD, by the way!)

  9. Love your 'more is more' dressing mentality. I always think if you love it, then wear it with confidence. Love these patterns together! :) x

  10. Oh I really love your outfit posts by the way - but I totally understand were you are coming from, I am not photogenic at all so it takes forever and everyone gets either bored or irrupted. Love the red coat btw and the video is too cute - I like the bog standard music :)
