holiday

No, I'm not going anywhere (chance would be a fine thing!) - the husband and I both recently took a week off work and spent much time driving, reading, walking, playing with the Boy, Going Out, Staying In, sewing (me), playing computer games (him), crocheting (me again), buying vintage and second-hand (erm...still me) and eating lots (aha! Both of us!). I took lots of pictures, so am now presenting you with another image-laden blog post with very few words - less is more, perhaps?

We started the week with lunch in a local pub and then a drive through the country. I tried halloumi cheese for the first time ever (LOVED it, by the way, I highly recommend it) and tried to avoid oncoming cars while photographing hedgerows and wild flowers. There were picnics and leisurely breakfasts, trips to the seaside, experiments with lentils, creating and upcycling, and a visit to a fabulous tearoom that we've only recently discovered. I was left pondering, why is it that a week at work drags so much more than a week on holiday?

  7. Lovely pictures! I love halloumi cheese, on a skewer, on a bbq, with orange pepper, red onion, and if you are a meat eater, chicken, that has been marinated in a lime and chilli (I think??) marinade - yummy!

Ooh I now fancy tea and cake ;)
